A LITTLE MORE ABOUT DR. DAVE
Dr. Dave is a compassionate dental anesthesiologist who is dedicated to helping children feel safe, calm, and comfortable during their dental visits. With advanced specialty training in dental anesthesiology and board certification through the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, he is highly skilled in managing pain and easing anxiety for even the most nervous patients. Parents can feel confident knowing their child is in caring, experienced hands focused on safety, comfort, and a positive experience.
Dr. Dave received a B.S. in Business and B.A. in Chemistry from East Carolina University, graduating magna cum laude. Afterward, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a DDS degree with honors in May 2001. He completed a one-year general practice residency with the University of North Carolina hospital system from 2001-2002. During 2004-2007, he also worked with a general dentist in Raleigh who specialized in providing comprehensive care to high anxiety patients utilizing oral sedation.
His passion for oral sedation motivated him to complete a residency in dental anesthesiology at The Ohio State University, where he received a Master of Science and a certificate in dental anesthesiology. He went on to become a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, which requires completion of a CODA accredited dental anesthesiology residency and successful completion of a written and oral board examination. The dental anesthesiology residency prepared him to manage pain and anxiety in a comprehensive manner while treating both adult and pediatric patients.
Outside the office, he enjoys running, cooking, scuba diving, and race car driving.
